Permeable paving

A porous material allows water to permeate/percolate through the surface and beyond when a suitable base build up configuration for SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems) has been installed.

• The ground is dug out to a minimum depth of 10"
   
• 20mm washed-clean stone is added as a sub-base
   
• A non-woven geotextile membrane allows the passage of water but prevents weed growth.
   
• Block paving is added and 2-5mm washed limestone is brushed-in to fill joints
